The third regional Cyber Security conference was held on November 17th 2022 at the CUE Hotel in Podgorica, organized by the NGO Secure and co-organized by the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro.
The central theme of the conference was “NATO principles for cyber defense and resilience of critical infrastructure in accordance with the NATO 2030 agenda”. This year’s conference was realized with the official support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, with the aim of promoting a better public understanding of NATO policies and goals.
The conference was opened by the Minister of Public Administration, Marash Dukaj, MSc. Opening remarks were given by the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, Oana Kristina Popa, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Judy Rising Reinke, the Ambassador of Great Britain, Karen Maddocks, and the Resident Coordinator of the UN in Montenegro, Peter Lundberg.
The third regional Cyber Security conference brought together 200 participants from Montenegro, the region and Europe, officials of ministries, the Government of Montenegro and its institutions, 22 embassies of NATO and EU countries, providers of telecommunications and internet services, financial institutions (banks, insurance companies), international organizations, missions, and cybersecurity experts from Montenegro and NATO member states.
