The 1st Regional Cyber Security Conference, organized by Vision Event under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro, the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro, the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information, and the Embassy of Slovakia, was held on June 2, 2017, at the Splendid Conference & Spa Resort in Bečići.
The Cyber Security Conference project was implemented with the primary objective of providing insight into the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of information security and data protection within companies and institutions, through information sharing and education on methods of prevention, detection, defence, and mitigation of the consequences of cyberattacks.
The central theme of the Cyber Security Conference was “Cybercrime Risks and Protection Measures in Line with NATO Principles and Achievements in the Field of Cybersecurity.”
The Cyber Security Conference brought together more than 120 cybersecurity experts, professionals responsible for cybersecurity within ministries and government agencies from Montenegro, Europe, and around the world, directors and senior officials of institutions, as well as representatives of successful companies operating both in Montenegro and internationally.
