The 2nd Regional Cyber Security Conference was held on May 17, 2019, at CentreVille Hotel & Experiences in Podgorica, co-organized by Vision Event and NGO Secure, under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro.
The aim of the Cyber Security Conference was to provide insight into the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of information security, protection against hybrid threats at the national level, as well as the protection of critical infrastructure within companies and institutions, through information sharing and education on methods of prevention, detection, defence, and mitigation of the consequences of cyberattacks.
The central theme of the conference was “Strengthening National Cybersecurity in the Context of Countering Hybrid Threats Based on Established NATO and EU Standards at the Global Level.”
The 2nd Regional Cyber Security Conference brought together approximately 150 participants from Montenegro, the region, and across Europe. Participants included directors and senior representatives of institutions and organizations, including ICT departments, professionals responsible for cybersecurity within corporations, the Government and its institutions, ministries, international organizations and missions, embassies, financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies, telecommunications, audit, and IT companies, as well as other stakeholders whose operations depend on data security.
